The Festival this year was a great success again with most events being well attended and several oversubscribed. The Great Get Together on the Recreation Ground on Saturday was a highlight, particularly with the amazing weather that we organised specially! A one minute handclapping tribute to Jo Cox and to all involved in the more recent tragedies was greatly appreciated by everybody on the field. The Festival finished with a bang on Sunday evening with the Community Swing Band giving a bravura performances at Everton Nurseries.
Our thanks go to Cheryl and Steve particularly, but also to our Sponsors, Everton Garage and Purewell Electrical, plus everybody else who worked so hard to ensure that everything worked on the day. After we get our breath back, we will doubtless start looking into how to make it even better still next year
